I champion Social Value as far as a one-woman business can through three main activities...
- Promoting effective implementation of Social Value in tendering: I chair the APMP UK Social Value Group and represent the group on the National Social Value Taskforce. My aim is to improve the end-to-end process of tendering and delivering Social Value in procurements.
- Supporting communities: my IT support comes from It's What's Next IT - https://www.iwn-it.com/ - a Community Interest Company that invests its profits in supporting individuals living with barriers to employment and sustainably addressing digital exclusion with local community-led projects.
- Minimising carbon footprint: I work from home as much as possible and use public transport wherever feasible when I have to travel. I rarely print anything and recycle everything.
